Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Polishfetching Water by Adam Styka was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,100.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adam Styka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A negotiation in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 137,750.00 (€ 163,196.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Polishfetching Water von Adam Styka wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.100,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adam Styka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A negotiation im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.750,00 (€ 163.196,55).
