It achieved a price of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 40,078.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 69%. Admittedly, works by Adam Styka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A negotiation in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 137,750.00 (€ 163,196.55).

Die Arbeit Polish the Young Water Carriers von Adam Styka wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 40.078,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 69%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Styka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A negotiation im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.750,00 (€ 163.196,55).
