Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work Series of eight wood engravings by Ad Dekkers. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,375.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Dekkers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Reliëf Met Afgeschuinde Blokjes - Relief With Bevelled Blocks in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 108,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Series of eight wood engravings von Ad Dekkers zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.375,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Dekkers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Reliëf Met Afgeschuinde Blokjes - Relief With Bevelled Blocks im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 108.750,00.
