Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Empire State Building in Bedroom, New York, NY by Abelardo Morell was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,566.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abelardo Morell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Detail of Book Damaged by Water, 2001, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,367.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Empire State Building in Bedroom, New York, NY von Abelardo Morell wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.566,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Abelardo Morell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Detail of Book Damaged by Water, 2001 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.367,27) versteigert wurde.
