Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Abbas Kiarostami was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,491.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Abbas Kiarostami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #6 from Snow White Series in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Abbas Kiarostami kam im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.491,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abbas Kiarostami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #6 from Snow White Series im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17).
