Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Snow by Abbas Kiarostami was worth USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65) to a buyer in April 2008. This price was achieved in the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in Dubai and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abbas Kiarostami; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled #6 from Snow White Series sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
