Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Transmission by Aaron Johnson. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,450.00 (€ 9,154.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aaron Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spirit in the Sky in May last year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 56,360.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Transmission von Aaron Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 9.154,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spirit in the Sky im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 56.360,08).
