It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,792.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Aaron Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spirit in the Sky in May last year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 56,360.08).

Die Arbeit Ghost Painter von Aaron Johnson kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.792,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spirit in the Sky im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 56.360,08).
