Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Six Poems in Cursive Script by Zhu Yunming was worth HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 150,992.71) to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Yunming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cursive Script Calligraphy in December this year with an auction result of HKD 24,575,000.00 (€ 2,843,608.75).
