Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhu Yunming was worth USD 845,000.00 (€ 624,307.35) to a buyer in September 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 200,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Zhu Yunming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cursive Script Calligraphy in December this year with an auction result of HKD 24,575,000.00 (€ 2,843,608.75).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Zhu Yunming war einem Käufer im September 2013 USD 845.000,00 (€ 624.307,35) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Yunming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.575.000,00 (€ 2.843.608,75).
