In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Standard Script by Zhu Ruzhen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,899.54), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Ruzhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 47,215.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Standard Script von Zhu Ruzhen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.899,54) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Ruzhen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 47.215,96).
