This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Calligraphy In Kaishu the most expensive artwork by Zhu Ruzhen that we have observed at auctions so far.
