Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bodhisattva No. 1 by Zhong Biao was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,161.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhong Biao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marksman in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 121,000.00 (€ 76,558.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bodhisattva No. 1 von Zhong Biao wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.161,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhong Biao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marksman im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.000,00 (€ 76.558,05).
