In April 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mandarin Duck by Zheng Naiguang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 472,000.00 (€ 54,549.36), 57% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zheng Naiguang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Lotus sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of HKD 552,000.00 (€ 54,952.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mandarin Duck von Zheng Naiguang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 54.549,36) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zheng Naiguang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Lotus im Oktober 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 552.000,00 (€ 54.952,92).
