In October 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Lotus Pond by Zheng Naiguang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,625.73), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Naiguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Lotus, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 552,000.00 (€ 54,952.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus Pond von Zheng Naiguang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.625,73) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Naiguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Lotus beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 552.000,00 (€ 54.952,92) versteigert wurde.
