Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait by Zheng Mukang was sold in the The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 auction at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 5,900.00 (€ 673.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Mukang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait von Zheng Mukang wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 5.900,00 (€ 673,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Mukang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
