This artwork by Zheng Mukang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Elegant Couple sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,188.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Mukang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Mukang erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Elegant Couple für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.188,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Mukang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
