Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zheng Mukang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Orioles On The Willows changed hands for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,566.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zheng Mukang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Mukang konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Orioles On The Willows für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.566,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zheng Mukang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
