In October 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Harvest Season by Zheng Mukang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,600.00 (€ 20,652.35), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zheng Mukang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Harvest Season von Zheng Mukang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.600,00 (€ 20.652,35) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Mukang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
