Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cheng Du in China by Zheng Delong was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,899.52). Other works by Zheng Delong have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2006 by the work Soul (06.08) at GBP 28,800.00 (€ 43,029.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cheng Du in China von Zheng Delong im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.899,52) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Zheng Delong wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Soul (06.08) mit GBP 28.800,00 (€ 43.029,77).
