In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Flicka med stilleben. by Zhao Kailin for SEK 48,000.00 (€ 4,978.90). This price was achieved in the auction Spring Modern Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Flicka med stilleben. is the most expensive artwork by Zhao Kailin that we have observed at auction so far.
