Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection, which included this untitled work by Zhao Gang. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,992.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Gang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2013 with an auction result of CNY 472,000.00 (€ 56,589.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zhao Gang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.992,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Gang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 472.000,00 (€ 56.589,30).
