A top price for Zhao Gang - as previously expected
This work without title by Zhao Gang was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Beijing in December 2013. The price achieved of CNY 472,000.00 (€ 56,589.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Zhao Gang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zhao Gang wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Beijing versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 472.000,00 (€ 56.589,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhao Gang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
