Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Zhao Gang was worth HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,229.75) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 75,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhao Gang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of CNY 472,000.00 (€ 56,589.30).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 75.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhao Gang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 472.000,00 (€ 56.589,30).
