Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Peasant-Soldier by Zhao Gang was worth HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,333.04) to a buyer in October 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Zhao Gang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in December 2013 with an auction result of CNY 472,000.00 (€ 56,589.30).

Die Arbeit Peasant-Soldier von Zhao Gang war einem Käufer im Oktober 2012 HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.333,04) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Gang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 472.000,00 (€ 56.589,30).
