Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zhang Yuzhao could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet In Running Script changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,175.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Yuzhao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four-Character Couplet in Running Script in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 322,000.00 (€ 32,055.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Yuzhao konnte im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.175,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Yuzhao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four-Character Couplet in Running Script im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 322.000,00 (€ 32.055,87).
