Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhang Yuzhao was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,073.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Yuzhao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four-Character Couplet in Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 322,000.00 (€ 32,055.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Zhang Yuzhao kam im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.073,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Yuzhao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four-Character Couplet in Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 322.000,00 (€ 32.055,87) versteigert wurde.
