Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch), which included the work Joyful Time by Zhang Xiaotao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,139.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiaotao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 47,190.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joyful Time von Zhang Xiaotao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.139,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaotao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 47.190,04).
