The work Heaven No. 6 by Zhang Xiaotao was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,945.46) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Xiaotao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 47,190.04).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Heaven No. 6 von Zhang Xiaotao wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.945,46) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaotao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 47.190,04).
