The work Decayed Langscape by Zhang Xiaotao was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 20,224.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Xiaotao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2, which sold at auction in April 2007 for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 47,190.04).

Die Arbeit Decayed Langscape von Zhang Xiaotao kam im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 216.000,00 (€ 20.224,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Xiaotao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Condom Series: Enlarged Props-Crystal And Fishes 2 beobachtet, die im April 2007 für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 47.190,04) versteigert wurde.
