Upper estimate price exceeded by 47 %.
The work Peony by Zhang Chonghe was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 21,328.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Chonghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 413,000.00 (€ 47,205.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peony von Zhang Chonghe kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 21.328,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Chonghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 413.000,00 (€ 47.205,29) versteigert wurde.
