Upper estimate price exceeded by 73 %.
The work Calligraphy in Kaishu by Zhang Chonghe was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 33,515.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Chonghe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Regular Script sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of HKD 413,000.00 (€ 47,205.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Kaishu von Zhang Chonghe wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 33.515,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Chonghe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 413.000,00 (€ 47.205,29).
