A top price for Zhai Yunsheng - as previously expected
The work Clerical Script Calligraphy by Zhai Yunsheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,119.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Clerical Script Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Zhai Yunsheng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Clerical Script Calligraphy von Zhai Yunsheng wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.119,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Clerical Script Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhai Yunsheng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
