Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six Character Couplet In Clerical Calligraphy by Zhai Yunsheng was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,314.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhai Yunsheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clerical Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in December last year for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,119.13).

Die Arbeit Six Character Couplet In Clerical Calligraphy von Zhai Yunsheng wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.314,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhai Yunsheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clerical Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.119,13) versteigert wurde.
