signed Wenquan Zhai Yunsheng, with two seals of the artist, wen quan, and zhai yun sheng zhang. Titleslips by Jiang Jian (1913-1972), signed Qingshuang guan, with three seals, jiang (2), qing shuang (2), e shi (2), and three collctor's seals of him, jiang jian chang shou, e shi, qing shuaung guan zhen cang (2)

This artwork by Zhai Yunsheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet In Clerical Script sold for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,331.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhai Yunsheng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Clerical Script Calligraphy sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,119.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhai Yunsheng erzielte im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.331,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhai Yunsheng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Clerical Script Calligraphy im Dezember letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.119,13).
