Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script by Zhai Yunsheng was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,179.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhai Yunsheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clerical Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in December last year for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,119.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script von Zhai Yunsheng wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.179,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhai Yunsheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clerical Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.119,13) versteigert wurde.
