Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Next Generation by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,698.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cigars, Cognac and Lemon in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Next Generation von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.698,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cigars, Cognac and Lemon im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89).
