Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October last year. In the Generation 21 by Artcurial auction, the work City gents 2, 2017 sold for EUR 14,432.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cigars, Cognac and Lemon, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Generation 21 by Artcurial wurde die Arbeit City gents 2, 2017 für EUR 14.432,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cigars, Cognac and Lemon beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89) versteigert wurde.
