Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stratego, 2021 by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba was sold in the African Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,872.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cigars, Cognac and Lemon in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stratego, 2021 von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.872,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cigars, Cognac and Lemon im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89).
