Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2014 Phillips in London held the auction Under the Influence, which included this untitled work by Zak Prekop. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,436.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zak Prekop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Grids, Four Colors, which sold at auction in December 2021 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,297.58).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zak Prekop zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.436,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zak Prekop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Grids, Four Colors beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.297,58) versteigert wurde.
