Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zadok Ben-David could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection auction, the work The Lizard And The Leaf changed hands for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,624.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zadok Ben-David have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zig Zag Man in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88).
