Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Here There And Elsewhere, From The People I Saw But Never Met Series by Zadok Ben-David. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,769.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 16,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zadok Ben-David - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zig Zag Man, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Here There And Elsewhere, From The People I Saw But Never Met Series von Zadok Ben-David zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.769,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 16.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zadok Ben-David mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zig Zag Man beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 67.369,88) versteigert wurde.
