The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,987.50 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yvan Theys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 6,250.00.

Die Arbeit De verzoeking von Yvan Theys wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.987,50 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yvan Theys mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian l'Invitation - De Inwijding beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 6.250,00 versteigert wurde.
