Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jean-Michel Basquiat No.2 by Yukimasa Ida was sold in the Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 103,498.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yukimasa Ida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work King of Rock, which sold at auction in June 2021 for HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 301,111.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jean-Michel Basquiat No.2 von Yukimasa Ida wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 103.498,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yukimasa Ida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit King of Rock beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 301.111,07) versteigert wurde.
