The work Cigarette Girl by Yukimasa Ida was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. It achieved a price of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 114,999.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yukimasa Ida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work King of Rock, which sold at auction in June 2021 for HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 301,111.07).

Die Arbeit Cigarette Girl von Yukimasa Ida wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 114.999,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yukimasa Ida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit King of Rock beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 301.111,07) versteigert wurde.
