This artwork by Yuan Yuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale) auction, the work The Other Side 3 sold for HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 245,822.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Yuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blues V, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Yuan erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale) wurde die Arbeit The Other Side 3 für HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 245.822,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Yuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blues V beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65) versteigert wurde.
