Auction result well in line with expectations

In August 2020 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Cliff(Painted In 2008) by Yuan Yuan. It changed hands for a price of HKD 188,800.00 (€ 20,404.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blues V in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im August 2020 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cliff(Painted In 2008) von Yuan Yuan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 188.800,00 (€ 20.404,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blues V im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
