A top price for Yuan Yao - as previously expected
The work The Cantilevered Road To Shu by Yuan Yao was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,045,000.00 (€ 1,484,357.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Cantilevered Road To Shu is the most expensive artwork by Yuan Yao that we have observed at auctions so far.
