This artwork by Yuan Yao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Back From Hunting sold for HKD 2,875,000.00 (€ 303,358.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yuan Yao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Cantilevered Road To Shu in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,045,000.00 (€ 1,484,357.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Yao erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Back From Hunting für HKD 2.875.000,00 (€ 303.358,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Yao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Cantilevered Road To Shu im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.045.000,00 (€ 1.484.357,99).
