Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Palace under Moonlight by Yuan Yao. The price achieved of HKD 3,620,000.00 (€ 376,077.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 3,000,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cantilevered Road To Shu, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 2,045,000.00 (€ 1,484,357.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Palace under Moonlight von Yuan Yao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.620.000,00 (€ 376.077,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 3.000.000,00 – 4.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cantilevered Road To Shu beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 2.045.000,00 (€ 1.484.357,99) versteigert wurde.
